It’s taken me quite a lot of time to decide what it is I wanted to do, how I wanted to do it, and when I was going to be confident enough to just write and see what happens.
But I have come to realize there is no right answer or pathway to any of those things - just do it! (Thanks Nike)
So here’s the beginning of my story —
I became a single mom at a relatively young age, and to say it has been difficult is a complete understatement! I can’t even put into words the hardships I’ve faced in the last 5-6 years, but what I do know is I’m going to try. Because I know somewhere, someplace out there, in our universe or the next, there’s someone just like me wondering what the hell they got themselves into.
I’m going to keep this post fairly short - only because I don’t want to give too much away too soon. BUT I wanted to let you know what you were going to find here.
You’re going to see posts about motherhood - the ups AND the downs. But you’re also going to see things about my fitness journey and being healthy overall, mental health (because we all have something we keep hidden), what it’s like to work full time, have a side business, and still maintain relationships with friends, family, and duh - men. You might also see food posts, and maybe if you’re lucky I’ll share some of my favorite go-to recipes!
So, just like the title of this blog post - this is just the beginning…
